Board Members and Other Volunteers
Doing Good Together
Doing Good Together, a relatively new nonprofit, has quickly become recognized as an invaluable community resource, making the volunteer process accessible and easy for families to navigate. The next several years promise to be exciting ones for Doing Good Together, and the Board of Directors will play a central role in this important work.
DGT is seeking board members who:
· are passionate about our mission;
· work for a Minnesota corporation and/or have web technology experience.
We are also seeking volunteers to serve on our development committee, our event planning committee or in other capacities within the organization. If you'd like to be involved with DGT, we'd love to talk with you to see how your interests and talents might assist us in furthering our mission.
Time Commitment: Varies, depending on the position
Ages: Adults only

Collect and Assemble Coloring Kits
Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency (MVNA)
Date/Time: Whenever you'd like
Location: Deliver or mail the kits to MVNA at 3433 Broadway St. NE, Suite 300, Minneapolis, MN 55413
Most of the homes visited by Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency nurses do not have any outlets for creative expression, such as crayons. A coloring book opens an important creative avenue for young children. Create one or more kits that include:
- New coloring book (sensitive to diversity of clients served by MVNA) - subject of books can be animals, trucks, cartoon characters, etc.
- New crayons (set of 24) - thick if possible. (These are especially inexpensive during this "back to school" time.)
- Stickers (optional)
Package it in a 9" x 12" envelope (unsealed). Children are encouraged to decorate the outside of the envelope. Your child can also enclose a handmade card. (Don't include your last name, please.)
Time Commitment: An hour or more, depending on the number of kits you create
Ages: Toddlers and older. This is a wonderful project for children, families and groups.
Contact: Michelle or Peggy at 612.617.4658 or lichtigm@mvna.org before delivering or mailing the kits.
