The Red Cross and the project sponsor, Pitney Bowes, will screen all cards for hazardous materials, sort and package the cards, and deliver them to military bases and hospitals, veteran's hospitals, and other locations during the holidays. For additional guidelines and information, visit the website.

Ages: Any age child can help decorate the cards.
Time Commitment: An hour or less.

Children's Book Drive
People Serving People

People Serving People, an emergency shelter for children and families, is collecting children's books, particularly beginner board books. The shelter, which serves almost 200 kids per night, operates a children's library. Families are allowed to take any of the donated books with them, so the shelter's library is in constant need of more books. The books should be in good condition and can be dropped off at 614 S. 3rd Street, Minneapolis MN 55415, between 8am and 4pm.

Ages: This is a great opportunity for all ages.
Time Commitment:  As long as it takes to drive to People Serving People to drop off the books.
