Animal Care Volunteers

Help care for the resident live
animals at the Visitor Center. These may
include snakes, frogs, salamanders, and other small animals native to
habitats in and around the Twin Cities. Orientation
and training is provided.
Time Commitment: Weekly
feeding and care is required. Times are flexible.
Ages: Great
opportunity for families with at least one child aged 10 years or older.

Creative Arts Program Assistants
Minnesota Children's Museum
St. Paul, MN
Description: Facilitate drop-in, classroom-based
creative arts and sensory activities at Minnesota Children's Museum.
Volunteers will directly impact between 30 and 300 visitors'
experiences during one shift. Creative Arts Program Assistants
facilitate one of two different drop-in educational programs: Family
Arts and Inventor's Workshop.
Family Arts - Assist with this fun,
family-friendly drop-in arts program that gives kids and adults a
chance to use real artists' materials. Interact with kids and adults as
they create with clay, watercolor, charcoal, and other art materials.
Activities change monthly.
Shifts available: Friday evenings, 5:45 p.m. - 8:00 p.m
Inventor's Workshop - Materials are
provided; kids bring the creativity!
Shifts available: Saturdays and Sundays, 9:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 12:30
p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Time Commitment: 10 shifts in 6
months

Mail Assistants
Minnesota Masonic Homes
North Ridge

Assist by delivering mail on a push
cart throughout the care facility. You will be sorting and delivering
mail, and interacting with the older residents. The
Volunteer Coordinator oversees your orientation and training.
Time Commitment:
Deliver mail every week, once a month, or whatever fits into your
schedule.
Ages:
All ages are welcome. The residents light
up seeing bright, young faces.

Meal Servers
People Serving People
Minneapolis, MN
People
Serving People provides education, social and life skill programs to
individuals and families in need. In addition, they offer temporary
housing and provide up to 1,000 meals every day. Volunteer
families serve cafeteria-style meals to the homeless families and do
light clean-up. Meal times are:
- Breakfast
7:30 - 9 a.m. (1 - 3 volunteers needed)
- Lunch
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. (3 - 6 volunteers needed)
- Dinner
4:15 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. (4 - 8 volunteers needed)
Time Commitment: Sign up for the number of weekly, monthly, or
occasional meal time shifts that your schedule allows.

For families with kids aged 12 years and up.

singing old-time favorites in large or small groups.
Add piano, guitar, or other instruments
